We meet twice a month with varied agendas:
- At our first meeting of the month (second Thursday) we have speakers who deliver interesting presentations on areas of stamp collecting and postal history. Additionally, we show videos on various stamp collecting.
- At our second meeting of the month (fourth Thursday) we conduct our club auctions in which members can sell duplicate materials and to obtain materials to build members’ collections.
At all our meetings we have our Club Sales Books. Members can sell and purchase stamps from the Books. Our books are also periodically taken to the meetings of other clubs and made available, so sellers can reach a broad audience of collectors.
Members informally discuss collecting interests with other members and get collecting advice. Our members have broad interests than span many countries, topical stamps, types of stamps, postal history and much more.
We receive the American Philatelic Society Circuit Books from which members can purchase stamps from. Also, members can freely buy, sell and trade stamps and related materials with other members.
We have periodic social gatherings to enjoy convivial discussions of our members’ diverse professional and personal backgrounds as well as stamp collect interests.
We coordinate member carpools to national stamp shows in Virginia and Maryland, as well as to other clubs’ meetings.
